personality: Taiga is a cheerish woman who's always showing her bright, yet childish side. She is really affectionated to Shirou and she's like a big sister to him, at least since he lost his family and his adoptive father. She's always ready to help him and she's always trying to give him good suggestions, especially on people he meets and those who're strictly involved with him. She's very proud of her abilities and she think she's one of the best kendo praticsers of the town (and this is also one of the ways in which she judges people...if they're stronger than her theyr'e worth her respect). Taiga is a very nice and protective person although she looses her cool pretty easilly. She can't cook at all and that's why she always sticks to Shirou's house at dinner or lunch time, trying to get some food made by the lovely Sakura, She has a very high opinion on her and she secretly (well not that secretly) hopes she could end up with Shirou. She barely accepts Saber's presence at Shirou's house, but she's easilly convinced she could be a good guardian for him.
personal story: We don't know that much about Taiga and her origins. She's the daughter of a boss of a Yakuza group but despite this fact she doesn't try to be arrogant or rude with people. She works hard as a teacher (her subject is English) despite her negligence and the lackness of the respect of her students, but she keeps fighting for her future. She's a secondary character, a humurous one and she's barely involved in the main story (although she ends up as a target for Caster, in the second scenario).
