personality: Sakura is an extremely caring person. She's always worrying for the sake of those she loves, especially for Shirou whom she loves more than anyone else. Since he lost his family she tried to help him out in everythign she could, from cooking to houseclining. She's a very shy person who doesn't want to draw too much the attenction of others. But it isn't completly true. Since she was a children she was like the shadow of his brother, badly treated by her family, abused by Shinji and harshly trained by her grandfather, but despite her conditions she's always been able to carry one, with her sad, yet beautiful smile and her enchanting sweetness. She's somehow envious of Rin, for several reasons till feeling a sort of hate in her regards. She slowly changes throughout the story to become a completely different person to the end. Anyway she's smart enough to understand where she's failing and where's she's making mistakes and gets the chances to fix all the problems she causes (or at least she can solve an extremely bad situation) and gets the chance to restart a new life with the person she loves the most.
personal story: Sakura only has a leading role in the 3rd scenario of FSN. In the previous too she was only a minor character, like the usual classmates or girls who have a crush on the main character. Despite she's Rider's true Master, she let her brother use her as he wishes, since she doesn't want to be involved in teh Holy Grail War. Her position changes when she learns the Vessel of the Holy Grail was placed inside her body, causing the birth of a sort of worm hitting her nervous system and oblidging her to take part to the conflict in order to survive. She initially tries to set thign with her Grandfather but she soon realizes she couldn't stop what was happening to her (especially after killing her brother without any esitation) and she turns evil by her own will, collecting more and more mana and compromising a large amount of human lifes. Neither her love for Shirou could stop her foolishness. She's mainly led by the hate she feels for Rin, her real sister. She was actuallya dopted by the Matou, since the Tohsaka wanted only one heir with magic powers in order to let the tradition survive (and according to their rules). Their families where appereantly allies and that's the reason why Sakura was taken by them. She always knew about her real origins and she fed her resentment towards her sister, who took her place, her memories, her experiences. She eventually turns good again when, fighting against Rin, she understands her sister was feeling guilt for her destiny and that she was still loving her. At this point she tries to help Shirou in destroying the Grand Grail and she promises him she'll wait for him to come back to her, forever.
