personality: Karen has a weird and bipolar personality. She usually appears as an angelic young woman, always caring for people's good, smiling and ready to give suggestions and advices. She always tries to do anything possibile to save people, although it means she needs to sacrifice herself for the good of others. This fact is somehow conditionated by her natural empathy, the power she posseses to feel the pain of someone else (and peraphs heal it). She has a strong faith and she always tries to not disappoiny God, also asking for forgiveness if someone else does something bad. Religion is one of the milestones of her life as she bases her existence on those rules stated by the Church. Anyway Karen can also be mercisless, especially when she's involved in missione. She uses her charm to take advantage on men (that's why she has that provocatine costume) and she doesn't show any regret when she accomplishes her duty. She also has a somehow mean side, since she likes to discover people's weak points and use weaknesses on her advantage
personal story: Karen was orphaned when she was very little. Her mother died after giving birth to her and her father was gone long time before. She grew up in an orphanage and she decided to become a priestess, probably because of the education she received during her childhood. She become an exorcist assistance, mainly due to her particolar empathy with evil. When she's near something or someone evil she can sence its presence and feel the pain, expecially if it's the case of someone who's possessed by a demoniac force. She moved to Fuyuki in order to replace Kotomine Kirei in his role of priest and Manager of the Grail War. During the Fake Grail War she was able to meet Shirou some times and she could also help him in giving him some advices, especially because she never took part at the previous conflict and she was able to have a different view of the situation. Since Avenger actually was a negative presence she killed him several times due to the spikes which come out from her body a san evil figure approaches to her. Avenger managed to meet her though and he could speak freely, understanding her role and listening to her suggestions (and her ideas about good and evil) and having particolar approaches with her. She also helped him in putting an end to the Fake Grail War, letting him reach the Grail through the spiral stair to heaven.
