After almost self assuming that Shirou is her master and making a
contract with him, Saber run out of the warehouse to engage Lancer,
Emiya run out too and he sees the two servant battling each other furiosly.
Lancer is forced to defend against the assault of Saber, who seems to
wield an invisible sword, and for that fact Lancer address her as a
coward, asking why she's hiding her weapon but the only answer he gets
was another assault that force him back.
He then ask again if Saber's hogou (Servant SYmbol or weapon) is
effectively a sword and Saber evade the question again but Lancer seems
to have recognised her and he offer to end the battle with a draw
because hsi current objective is to check out the other Servants and
Masters.
Saber refuse and Lancer use his Noble Phantasm; Gae Bolg, a mighty spear
attack almost unavoidable that means certain death, or at least it would
have meant if Saber doesn't dodge it although she suffer a serious wound
at the chest.
But using the Gae Bolg uncover Lancer true identity, the irish hero Ců
Chulainn, the ireland child of light (as Saber refers to him) and,
although Lancer says that usually he fights 'til death when his identity
is discovered, he is forced to withdraw because of his coward master
orders.
Saber try to follow him but her wounds prevent her doing so, and she end
up talking with a confused Emiya understanding that he is not a proper
master.
Sensing other enemies nearby, Saber ask Shirou to use an healing spell
to treat her wound (her self recovering ability only work on the outside
of her body) but when the guy says that he doesn't know such an advanced
spell she run out to fight again, statin that her injury should not be
an hindrance for just another battle.
Well she ends upo fighting none other than Archer and forcing Tohsaka to
make him disappear or Saber would have killed him.
Saber then focus her attention on Rin but as she proceeds to eliminate
her is stopped by the still confused Emiya and the two of them start
arguing about the necessity of eliminating Archer's Master until Tohsaka
speaks about Saber disobeying her master orders.
The group go inside Emiya's mansion and, when Tohsaka use a simple spell
to repair a window, the amazed reaction of Emiya reveal his small
knowledge as a magician and Rin woders how he could be able to summon
Saber especially because he seems to know only the tracing spell.
However Rin begin to explain the mess Shirou is now part of, telling him
that he is involved in a sort of "game" called the Holy Grail War
involving Seven Masters with relative Servants who'll try to kill each
other in roder to win, and that he was chosen to be a Master, the
stigma on his hand (the Three Reiju) is a proof of it.
Once in then years Seven Masters were chosen, each of them obtain a
Servant and a fight ensues for the Holy Grail; Rin was chsen to bee a
Master too and says that as long a Master have the Reiju he can control
his Servant because the tattoo is the spell that force a Servant to obey
his Master, even if the order go against the Servant's will, but with
each use the Reiju decrase by one.
Rin also noticed that Saber seems to be incomplete, probably because she
was summoned by an untrained mage, and Saber confirm that Shirou doesn't
have enough Magic Power to fully materialize her, so she could not turn
back to her spirit form to recover Magical Power.
Emiya was taken to meet the overseer of the Holy Grail War at Kotomine
church, with Saber following him enveloped in a cloak but leaving him as
he enter the place with Tohsaka, stating that he wouldn't need to go any
further.
As Shirou ask Tohsaka what kind of person is the priest (the overseer)
she answers that he is her guardian and also her senior and second
teacher so Emiya wonder how a priest could be in the Magi Guild while
the church sees the fact as an heresy.
Tohsaka respond that's why is so hard to deal with him and says that the
overseer's name is Kotomine Kirei, a former pupil of Rin's father and,
while she wish to doesn't know him, she also know that her ten years
relationship with him it's hard to break off.
Well Kirei appears as Tohsaka makes this statement, saying taht he too
wish to not have a pupil disrespectful of her teacher, Rin says that she
have brought the seven master but that he is an amateur and that she
couldn't stand just watch him.
After a bit of introduction between Emiya and Kirei, Kotomine syas to be
thankful to Emiya Shirou 'cause that was the first time Rin asked him
for help, he then proceed to explain Emiya what's the conflict he was
involved in, for him being a Master it isn't something he can quit once
he become one but he also says that conquering the Holy Grail can made
any wish came true.
Emiya seems to not believe in what both Rin and Kirei says but, as
Kotomine also says, the presence of wonders such as the Servants is
enough proof.
Servants are being of very near natural spirit, incarnation of legendary
heroes that usually take form of spirit but can materialize and fight at
theyr Master will.
Emiya decide to accpet the fact as truth and he says that if the Holy
Grail is such a great thing there's no point in fighting each other
'cause they could share together but unfortunately for him, Kirei
explain that they are not free to do so 'cause the Grail will obey only
to the rightful conquerer able to win its services, pratically the
Masters fight to be accepted by the Holy Grail itself.
Luckily for Emiya, Rin says that there's no rule that force the Masters
to kill theyr foes, because of the fact that the Holy Grail is a spirit
and since only Servant could touch it a Master could limit himself to
simply eliminate theyr enemies Servants, Emiya seems to be really glad
for this.
As the two young are speaking Kotomine intervene, asking Emiya if she
think to be able to eliminate his own Servant, and starting both Shirou
and Rin, Kirei says that Servants are powerful and that the easy way to
eliminate one is to kill his Master and also, if a Servant lose his
Master (or contrary) he didn't disappear immediatly but can made a new
contract and rejoin the fight.
Emiya then ask if it's possible to free a Servant using up all of the
Reiju but the answer is that any Magi who act in a way like this would
be considered a coward not even worth to be an amateur of Magic, even
so, Kirei offers his protection to Emiya if he really intends to do so
(besides is his job as an overseer).
Shirou is really angered when he discover that the Holy Grail war took
place four times before and, after more chit-chatting and the
revelations that the blaze in Fuyuki city was a conseguence of the
previous Holy Grail War (in wich Kotomine syas that he lost his Servant
and was taken out from the fight by his Father, the previous Overseer
from whom he inerithed the charge), Emiya decide to partecipate in the
War to prevent another disaster to happen.
Kirei tell Emiya to rejoice 'cause his wish is finally being fulfilled,
and he says to him that his noblest wish and his most abominable desire
have the same root, 'cause justice cannot exist without an opposite evil
after that Emiya leave.
Outside Kotomine Curch Tohsaka, Shirou and Saber are taking theyr leaves
when they are interrupted by the arrival of a white haired girl with a
muscled giant that salutes Emiya referring to him as Onii-chan, saying
that it's the second time that they meet like this and the episode ends,
another Master was revelead but who's her Servant?
