After a brief summary of the previous episodes the scene focus on Rin
holding Sakura while standing n the center of the magic circle created
by Caster.
The Servant admits to have underestimated Tohsaka, because no matter who
the adversary is she give the priority to her objectives and she also
greets Rin as an admirable Magician, despite the fact that Rin doesn't
seems to be very fond of Caster's words.
On the temple' stairs, Saber and Assassin are still fighting, the battle
is fierce and it seems that none of the two Servants could gain any
advantage, but suddenly Saber lets out a fierce attack able to almost
break the defenses of Assassin, and the other Servant says that is in
awe of Saber's magnificent swordplay because she was able to bent his
sword with just one hit.
Even in the main temple the battle between Shirou and Soichirou goes on,
with Emiya trying desperately to find an opening in his opponent's
defenses, but Shoichirou is not a newcomer and his martial prowness is
able to push back all the efforts of Shirou, to the point of breaking
his materialized twin blades while Caster comments about how meaningless
is the fight the trio has put on.
Meanwhile Assassin is finally able to stand on a plain spot of the
stairs, from wich he can use the Tsubame Gaeshi, he warns Saber about
not thinking of what will happen after the fight ends because they're in
the middle of a mortal combat, and so the fight goes on again.
In the temple Caster intends to use Tohsaka as the sacrifice for the
Holy Grail ritual, and tells her that she got no need to proitect Sakura
because of this.
Another chance of scene on the battle of the two Servant shows Assassin
saying to Saber that they were originally summoned to fulfill their
roles, as he got to defend the gate to the temple so Saber also got
something to defend and therefore there's no time to esitate.
Also, Assassin says that Saber is not the only one pressed for time
because his reserve of mana is limited, Saber seems to understand and
the two Servants prepare theirselves for and all or nothing strike.
Back in the temple Caster aks Rin if she do not have any jewels left,
saying that it will be boring is Tohsaka doesn't at least try to resist,
while Soichirou is still engaged in his battle with Emiya.
On the stairs the two Servants finallu unleash their better blow,
trespassing each other, Assassin stay still and then tells Saber to go,
while the blood flow freely from his mouth he says that he had
considered Saber as a beatiful little bird but instead she's like a lion.
He then blame himself for his imperfect knowledge about woman and
swordplay, then he disappear in a sort of stardust.
In the temple Soichirou is finally able to break through Emiya's defense
and his blow send the boy down to the inner circle of the arena,
Soichiroi calmly walks to Caster's side while his Servant invites him to
go to the back because she can handle those two by herself.
Emiya rush to Rin's side asking the girl if she's able to escape but
Tohsaka disagree and even Caster says that it's not possible preparing
to unleash a sort of magical attack but suddenly Saber appears jumping
towards Caster with her sword held high, her blow is blocked by Caster's
magical shield and Soichirou's Servant says that because Saber has been
wounded by Rule Breaker she do not have any capability to defeat her and
that because Caster is the entire temple she asks Saber if is able to
destroy and entire township to defeat her.
Shirou asks Kuzuki to stop Caster because she'll end up killing everyone
in the city but Caster replies that maybe she will use both Shirou and
Rin as a sacrifice for the Grail but depending on how the things will
go, she could let the boy live if Saber will become her slave.
Suddenly an unknown voice interrupts Caster blaming her of foolishness
because she do not know her place, surrounded by thousands of floating
weapons, a blond guy in a golden armour appears referring to the whole
plan put up by Caster as a clown's work.
The guy says that he did ponder to watch the whole thing to the end but
Caster did a terrible mistake addressing Saber as he belonging, from the
blond guy point of view Saber is only worth to belong to him, the King
(as he adresses himself) and he then unleash the whole fury of his
arsenal upon Caster.
At first the magician-servant seems to be able to withstand the attack
with his shield but in the end the blond guy is able to trespass the
defense with three of his swords, the swords rushes toward Kuzuki and so
Caster interpones her body to protect her Master, being deadly wounded.
There's a brief cutscene in Caster's memories where it is showed the
making of the pact between Kuzuki and her, then the scene turn back to
the present with Caster asking Soichirou if is safe because it will be a
trouble for her if he die, Soichirou says that he will fulfill her
desire in her stead but Caster replies that the desire was just
fulfilled and then disappears and even Kuzuki falls to the ground badly
wounded as the temple begins to crumble.
The golden guy speaks again saying that it was a long time since Saber
and him ahd last seen each other and asking her if she remeber the
decision he made, but Saber replies just with a stern grin, so the guy
asks her if she still not ready and then leaves saying that their
reunion is rather boring inside that worthless cave and that the next
time they will meet. Saber had better to remeber his question of ten
years ago.
Finally, while the temple crumble to dust, the trio of heroes leave,
taking Sakura with them.
Back at Emiya's place Saber saying that although she do not want to
admit it, she indeed knows that Servant (the golden guy), his class is
Archer and she fought him on the last day of the previous Holy Grail War
but she was not able to defeat him.
Rin says that he's not a Servant summoned in the current war but rather
he survived for ten years from the previous one so Tohsaka speculates if
he obtained the Holy Grail in the previous war and thus he was able to
stay in the material world, she asks Saber what's his identity but
Shirou's Servant says that she doesn't know.
Tohsaka replies that because he used a lot of weapons back in the temple
then will be easy to figure who he is but Saber asks her if she had
recognized aby kind of Noble Phantasm, the girl replies is negative and
Saber says that she was not able to figure out who he is because of the
great number of different Noble Phantasm.
Futhermore Emiya says that they was not fake Noble Phantasm because was
able to penetrate through Caster's barrier but Saber interrupts him
saying that at the end of the previous war the golden guy proposed to
her, leaving both Shirou and Rin a bit shocked, but the Servant goes on
saying that she refused him with her sword.
Well, Tohsaka stands up saying that she will check on Sakura soon and
Emiya goes out on the terrace with Saber, the boy asks Saber if it's
true that a Servant obtaining the Holy Grail can stand in the real world
forever but Saber replies that she got no intention to stay, in the
instant she obtain the Holy Grail she will go back from where she came.
Emiya asks her if she will redo all the choices she made before but
Saber didn't replies and her face grows worried remembering her past
actions as the king of Britain, she says that is a king duty to protect
peoples and since her power was not enough another king had to be
chosen, Emiya shouts at her but Saber interrupts him saying to not speak
of that issue anymore and besides, obtaining the Grail doesn't mean that
she can in the world because it's not possible that the Golden Guy
obtained the Holy Grail in the previous war, an the reason it's because
the Holy Grail was destroyed by the hands of Shirou's father in the
previous war.
Kiritsugu used his last Reiju to force Saber to destroy the grail,
betraying her, Emiya asks Saber why she did not tell him before but
Saber replies that she' did not feel like talking that kind of Master
and besides, she have seen Shirou's past and she cannot believe the
changes in Kiritsugu's personality.
Saber says that Emiya's father got no interest in nothing but his own
objectives, he was not cruel, but he was also able to do anything to
reach his own goal and when he was in front of the Holy Grail he ordered
Saber to destroy it, however it's possible that a new Grail could be
creatd just as Caster was intentioned to do.
Emiya leaves the house and go to Kotomine Church where he meets with
Kirei, the two talks about the fact that Saber has not died in her
previous life, remaining in the middle of transmigration process, Emiya
says that according to Saber, she will become a true Servant only after
obtaining the Grail and Kotomine asks him if he do not want her to be a
Servant anymore and that if this is Shirou's will, he will have Saber to
drink from the Holy Grail saying that if a Servant drinks from it, he
will gain a new life and, as long as their Master live, they will remain
in this world.
Kirei asks Shirou if he is satisfied but Shirou replies that he got
another question and it's about the eighth Servant.
The episode ends with a look of Kirei's face, filled with uneasyness.
