The scene begins with a furious battle taking place in the fire-filled
Fuyuki city between two mysterious figures able to use some sorts of
unknown powers, after a last clash and an explozion the scene change to
10 years after, and a mysterious figura (Kotomine Kirei) explain that a
new Holy Grail War is ready to take place, a war where seven magicians
(or Masters) employing a Servant each one for the ultimate purpose of
conquering the holy grail.
Then, in a grim mansion a girl summon her Servant, convinced to have
drawn "the best card she could" and appearing disappointed in
discovering to have not summoned the servant he apparently wished for.
The scene change again to the 10 years ago Fuyuki city, where a young
kid with reddish hair roam through the rain-swept ruins, when he fell
down losing counsciousness an unknown person appear taking him to the
hospital but, as the kid is wondering about what's happened a voice
calling his name awake him, introducing the main character of the story,
Emiya Shirou and her friend Matou Sakura who has come to wake him to go
to school.
We then were introduced to another character, Fujimura Taiga, an energic
teacher that seems to be an old acquaitance of Enmiya's adoptive father
to whom she promised to be a parent for the guy until he reach the
manhood, and that usually care for the Shirou at the point of joining
for the Sakura-made breakfast!
Well at school we discover the magical talent fo Emiya, who is used to
fix electrical tools with the aid of both his knowledge and his magical
capabilities and then, while Emiya and one of his companion are walkign
the school's corridors, the girl of the summoning appear again, Tohsaka
Rin is her name and she seem to be the students idol although Emiya's
friend tell him he didn't trust her.
As Tohsaka passes by Emiya seems to experience a strange feeling, but
the grim argumentation was suddenly interrupted by the arrival of
Fujimura-sensei in the classroom as, energic as always, falls down to the
floor in an excess of happiness! XD
At the end of the lesson we find Rin on the roof, speaking to a cool guy
clothed in red named Archer, who is the Servant she summoned in the
beginning.
She ask him if he was able to detect other masters movement, obaining a
negative answer and deciding to look around.
Back to Emiya! the guy is eating his lunch with a friend when he
discover of a strange murder that took place in Fuyuki city, a murder
that onvolved the use of a Japanese sword or a Spear, and Emiya seems to
overreact as he continue to think about the murder as he left schools at
the end of the day and even at his partime job, worrying her boss even!^^''
In the meanwhile we see a little flashback of Emiya's father, as he say
to the young kid that not everyone can be save even if one desire to
save anyone...
As Emiya walk back home we caught a glimpse of the other Servants and of
a strange, white.haired girl who smile at Emiya as she crosses his path.
Back at home Shirou is scolded to be late by Fujimura Sensei and, when
Emiya try to hit her with what seems to be an army poster that the guy
doesn't like, we discover Taiga to be be a 5 dan of kendo, hitting Emiya
and almost scaring Sakura (official Emiya's cook XD).
When the two women left, Emiya use again his magic to repair a broken
heater while remembering once again his father an the taching to use
magic to help other, Emiya greatest desire seems to be able to help
other people with his magic and be like his parent, 'cause this one once
said that sorcery is a thing that must be used for the sake of others.
The episode end with a dialogue between Rin and Archer where the girl,
disappointed to not be able to get Saber, seems to test her servant
ending up apoligizing to him for her umpoliteness and fliyng with him in
the night sky, saying to have been ready to the current war for 10 years.
