scathach
Scathach is Cúchulainn teacher in the arts of war and generally the one who trained him, in the Land of Shadows, to become a skilled warrior. She's also the person who gave him the Gae Bolg and taught him how to use it properly. She was a warrior-princess as well and it's said she was originally the mistress of the Isle of Skye.
The legend says that as punishment for the many she killed and for being too much interested into arcanic concepts, she was confined in that land, which was a sort of
parallelar plan, a land in the middle between living and dead. Her body was mortal, but she couldn't be killed (because of the plain of existence in which she was trapped) nor she couldn't take her own life.
