hollow ataraxia

The star of this game is appearently Bazette Fraga Mcremitz, a magi who was a member of the Association and who joined Holy Grail War by invitation of Kotomine Kirei. We know for sure, from FSN, that she was betraied by him, who stole her command mantra by cutting her arm, taking control of Lancer, her own servant. The game begins with Bazette waking up in her mansion and meeting her servant (who wasn’t Lancer but Avenger). Bazette was conscious about the spreading of the war and she decided to join it with her eirei, although she was conscious about his weakness and his strange concepts about the conflict itself (he was purpously aming to kill the masters and innocent people than fighting against other servants) . She took part at the 3rd Heaven’s Feel and she was easilly defeated and killed by the Edelfelt twins. After this intro we see what happened to the main characters of FSN. It seems they’re happilly leaving ordinary lives (masters and servants together), although they ‘re already conscious that something is getting wrong. They’ll fight again for their masters and for their safety if they’ll happen to be involved in troubles, but the fact there’s nothing to fight for (the Holy Grail for istance) doesn’t attract their attection that much. We also learn that Rin left for London as a consequence of the failure of one of her experiments which caused a sort of breaking in the timeline and a dimension distorsion was caused and to solve that matter. Shirou takes responsabilities as usual and since something odd is lately happening in Fuyuki decides to check the town as much as he can and one night he’s surprised by an unexpected enemy and he’s probably killed by that mysterious figure and before dying he seems to see a mysterious girl standing next to him In the meanwhile we’re back to Bazette mansion and we learn that she has been revived by her Servant (who was appearently able to resurrect her and reset time) and that she understands she was killed once and that she appearently went back to the first night. They make a strategy since it appears that Avenger prefers fighting at night and due to his weakness he can only support Bazette and leave her all the eventual fights. Bazette can easilly crush that presence that was infesting the town and she decides she want to protect everybody from it, choosing to chase it and destroy it. Avenger seems to agree with her plans although he doesn’t care for others and he just wants to have fun. We’re back to Shirou who’s still living a peaceful existence with his friends. Hehears there’s someone who come in Fuyuki to replace Kotomine Kirei au his church and he want to find out who this person is. He can’t meet the newcome immediately but he found himself near a completely empty Mansion he thinks he has already visited in the past. Shirou as in the previous night is again researching the New Town to chase the mysterious presence but he meets some obstacles in Archer (who is still trying to kill Shirou as usual) and although he finds the mysterious girl he’s killed once again by some strange spikes coming out her body. And we’re back to the first day. Bazette just got killed again by Assassin and we’re back to the first day again. She realizes that weird system is giving her a certain advantage since she has the chance to learn precious info about her enemies to use for her purpouses. After a quick lunch (in the same restaurant in which Shirou works) the two partners sneak into a Mansion that resembles Rin’s one and they’re ready to set their trap as they’re really thinking they could win the war. Back again to Shirou, who finally remembers about his tracing ability (how ironic) and he’s ready to defeat Archer. He goes back to New Town and he faces him with Saber’s help. As he gains the access to the area he meets Bazette and Avenger and engages a battle against them, as she says she has defeated all the other servants and only them are missing. Avenger oblidges Saber to use her Noble Phantasm but as she does Bazette counterattacks with Fragarach defeating Saber and letting Avenger kill Shirou as well. Back to Bazette who finds out that although they didn’t lost they were brought back to the beginning. Avenger tells her that the war will go on forever and that it wouldn’t problably guaranteed that they could ever stop it. She wishes to hear the opinion of the Einzbern about it and she decides to set off for their Castle. Rin is back from London and she tries to explain Shirou what is currently happening. The war they’re currently fighting is a fake one that loops itself continously. She suggests Shirou to look for that person who wasn’t involved in the original war, although he always dies when he does, probably because he gets the wrong approach. Shirou also tries to convince Lancer to help him (following Avenger’s advice) but he refuses because he doesn’t want to fight against Bazette. Back to Bazette. As soon as she arrives at Ilya’s Castle she has to fight against Berserker and she sacrifices Avenger to get the chance to speak to her enemy’s master. Ilya tells her that Berserker was just a ghost and that her family’s servant was Avenger . She also states she can’t help Bazette in anyway since she has no role in that conflict. Bazette is confused and she is decided to ask for the suggestions of someone else. Shirou finally gets the chance to meet the mysterious girl he saw at night time. Her name is Karen Ortensia and she is the priestess replacement for Kotomine Kirei. She states she has nothing to do with that dark shadow and that she was only there for reporting the happenings after the War. Suddenly the dark shadow appears, trying to get rid of Shirou once again (we find out he’s its real target), but with the help of Karen and also tracing avenger’s weapons, he’s able to defeat the monster. Karen leaves and tells him that now they can meet without any interferences. Shirou meets Karen at the Church and they speak about her role and her past as she reveals she was an exorcist and that she had a particolar emphaty power. The scene changes again and we’re at Shirou’s house where Rin is telling her friends that the war lasts 4 days because the person who’s reproducing it only had the chance to live those 4 days. Bazette comes to visit them, but she runs away as she understands that something is wrong with her. The war was still running at her eyes although everybody else considered it already over. She speaks with Avenger who tells her that the war was really over more than half a year ago and that he saved her as she was dying because of Kotomine Kirei’s betrayal. He said that she made the wish to not die and that he replied, supporting her as he wasn’t needed anymore as the essence that was tainting the Grail. Bazette realizes she needs him to go on and that alhough that reality was a fake, she couldn’t left it if she was willing to survive. Shirou reaches Bazette’s house (he was wrong the first time, since she was in the other Edelfelt Mansion) and bringing Lancer the earring he found there he could get his help. The servant fought against Bazette and as they killed each other Avenger turned into the dark shadow tellina Shirou that he needs to find the Grail. As Bazette awaks again Avenger tells her he doesn’t want to fight anymore with her since the war is gettino annoying and he wants to break their agreement, but Bazette can’t abandon her hopes and using her command spell she turns him into her lost arm. In the meanwhile Shirou learns the truth from Ilya, who tells him that they were living in a fake reality, with real people except for him. He wasn’t really Shirou but someone else who was “wearing” his personality since he hadn’t one on his own. He also understands that the monster produced by the shadow were chasing him since he was part of them. And the final night comes. Shirou wants to come to the end of the story and he wants to reach the Grail. With the help of Karen he climbs up the spiral ladder, counting on his friends who are fightings against those monsters who want to stop him. He reaches the top and meets Bazette. Since he has Shirou’s personality he wants to act as a heroe and so he wants Bazette to live a normal life and be happy. Also Bazette wishes for his happiness and wants him to keep living that fake existence and enjoy his time with her. Avenger tells Bazette that she’s still alive and that a woman from the Church has found her and that she’s able to treat her. They realize their paths are oing to divide and as the Grail was falling apart they say farewell to each other. Bazette wakes up. She finds the completed puzzle on the table and thinking about Avenger she tells him farewell once again, embracing the new day as well as her new life.
